FAQ

Questions, answered

The things movers and gift-givers ask us most. Still stuck? Reach out anytime.

No, never. Gifts go straight to the mover and we don't take a cut.

Straight to the mover, into their own PayPal or Stripe account. We're never in the middle, so gifts land the moment they're sent.

Card gifts are counted automatically. If a gift is refunded, it comes back off.

PayPal, cash and cheque gifts are invisible to us. Movers can add that total themselves, and the page labels it as their own figure, not something we verified.

No. These are personal gifts to a friend, so they aren't tax-deductible.

Personal gifts are generally not taxable income. Gifts land in your own PayPal or Stripe account, so that provider handles any tax forms, not us.

This answer is general information, not tax advice. We don't state specific reporting limits, and your own situation may differ.

You keep whatever you raise. There's no all-or-nothing, and you can edit your goal anytime.

Funds are link-only by default, and you can make yours public if you want. Either way it shows your first name only, never your last name or moving date.

Your schedule is never public. Only people you share your link with, who sign in, can see times and claim a slot.

Pick an amount, then pay by card or with PayPal. You pay the mover directly, and we never see your card details.

Only if you choose PayPal. If the mover set up card gifts, you can just pay by card.

Right now, it doesn't. We may add ads or optional extras later, but gifts will always be 100% the mover's.
