Privacy by design
Campaigns are private by default. A public fund shows your first name only, so your last name and the exact date stay private. We never ask where you're moving, and we never collect a street address; your story shares only what you choose.
Gated logistics
Your help schedule lives behind your private link. Only signed-in helpers can see times or claim a slot.
Secure payments
Gifts are paid on a payment provider's own secure site — PayPal, or Stripe's checkout for card gifts — straight to the mover. Move Me Fund never sees or handles your card or your money.
For movers
- You decide what is public. Keep your fund link-only, or open it up. Your call, anytime.
- A public fund shows your first name only, never your last name. Where you're moving is yours to share (or not) in your story.
- Your help calendar and the list of who is helping are never shown to the public.
- We never ask for a street address, so helpers coordinate the meeting spot with you directly.
For gift-givers
- You pay on your provider's own secure, PCI-compliant site — PayPal, or Stripe for card gifts. Move Me Fund never sees or stores your card.
- Your gift goes straight to the mover, and we never take a cut.
- Your gift is covered by your provider's own protections and dispute process — PayPal's buyer protections, or your card issuer's chargeback rights for card gifts.
For helpers
- You sign in before claiming a slot, so there is always an identity behind everyone who shows up.
- You only see a mover's details after they have shared their link with you.
Fighting fraud
Because gifts are paid through each mover's own payment provider, that provider's identity verification and payment protections apply to every gift — PayPal's checks, or Stripe's identity verification and the card networks' dispute process for card gifts, the same checks banks use. On our side, any campaign can be reported straight from its page, and accounts that break our terms can be suspended.
